When did you start doing Pole Fit?
I've been doing pole-fit classes since September 2010, even though I've had a play around on the pole in the past. I worked in a pole dancing club as a barmaid, so I was taught a few moves by some pole dancers.
Do you worry about telling people you do Pole Fit because of the believes associated with the hobby?
I know that there are stereotypes around pole dancing due to the use of poles in strip clubs; However, I think that pole dancing for fitness is becoming more popular and accepted within todays society.
Have you ever had any pole inflicted injuries?
At the moment I have an injured kneecap! I was tired after lots of exercise during one session and when inverted, I didn't come down properly and smashed it on the floor. It's been about 2 months now and it's still painful, and my skin is kind of numb :S I need to get it seen to really!

A friend of mine from back home had been doing it for a while. After seeing her pictures on facebook and talking to her, she persuaded me to give pole fit a go, and i haven';t looked back since! I found studio fit by searching online for pole studios in stoke.
When did you take it up?
It was part way through my first year at uni, so the beginning of 2009.
What level are you at now? What is your proudest move/spin/invert?
I'm now at intermediate level and I'm proud of so many of the moves that I've picked up :P Possibly the gemini, scorpio or jewel, as they're quite hard and have taken me a while to do.

First Time Pole Fitty
You've just had your first pole fit lesson; what was it like?
It was loads of fun, the instructor was great, she made me feel at ease and made us all laugh. We went through a warm up, then a simple routine step by step, then a cool down. The instructor - Kay - went through each step over and over which I found useful and it took sometime to get used to some of the moves.
Why did you want to take up Pole Fit?
I've always wanted to have a go at spinning round a pole basically! I've been wanting to do it for years, so this year i finally booked the classes.
How do you feel after your first lesson, will you be going again?
I loved my first lesson, and I'm definitely going back for the 6 week course. I was very achy the day after and I've got a bruise which I'm very proud of, ha ha; I can tell people that i got it from my pole fit class!
